Big Butterfly Count

We are pleased to be supporting the Butterfly Conservation Trust annual Big Butterfly Count.

The count takes place between 14th July and 6th August and only takes 15 minutes of your time.

All you have to do is identify a suitable location to spot butterflies or moths, it could be in your garden or out in the countryside, and record which species you see.

It is easy to get involved and all the resources you need are available on the Big Butterfly Count website.

We are keen to know what you spot during your surveys in the local area so please also share your findings with us, including pictures. Our aim is to develop a record of what species are seen in the local area and share it via our website.

Share your survey results with us at survey@pittonnaturetrust.org.uk
